Wild Arctic
WILD ARCTIC
at Sea World Orlando and San Diego
Visitors walk beneath two giant sky domes to view beluga whales, polar bears and walruses swimming in glacial pools along side a ship wreck of a science expedition circa 1845.
The dome is lighted with six rows of fluorescent lamps concealed along the perimeter. The clouds are projected using theatrical lighting fixtures. The tanks are lighted via reflected light from the domes and lights located in hidden chambers within the tank.
Lighting scenes change from dawn to dusk.
Lander worked with the Architectural Lighting Design firm of Fisher Marantz Renfro Stone to design this project.
A similar exhibit exists at Sea World of San Diego. The same design teams created the exhibit.
